Bring your favorite gun, 250 rounds of ammo, a strong-side hip holster and be at the range at 8:30am.
Be prepared to have a great time, it's 100% pure fun!
Do I need IPSC experience to participate?
No, IPSC experience is not required. Every weekend many first-time IPSC shooters participate with us. You are given a short safety and rules introduction before the match starts and are guided through the match by more experienced shooters. IPSC
is a lot more fun that standing at an indoor range and punching holes in paper.
Is this a self-defense course?
No, IPSC is a sport. Our matches are not a self-defense activity. Everything is done in a sporting fashion. What the matches teach you are advanced gun-handling techniques that may be useful in defense scenarios should they arise.
I have a stock gun. Do I need a "racegun" to participate?
No, you do not need a racegun to join. About half of our competitors use stock guns. The minimum caliber is 9mm. Semi-autos are preferred although you can use a revolver.

What other equipment do I need?
A safe hip holster that covers the trigger guard to prevent you from accidentally discharging your gun while in your
holster.
How much ammo should I bring?
We recommend at least 250 rounds just in case you need extra. We shoot six courses of fire with round counts of 12 to 48 rounds each.

Will I be competing against all those fancy raceguns and good shooters?
No. We have many classifications of shooters and the guns are divided into two main divisions - OPEN (raceguns) and LIMITED (stock). More divisions exist - please view the USPSA Rulebook for more details.
