Oct 15, 2004: Upcoming Match Cancellations - Mark your calendars for the upcoming match cancellations - 10/30/04 - Cowboy Charity Match, 11/27/04 - SV Stock Gun Match. Spoke with Taran last weekend and they are opening the match to Open shooters as well, so give Dave Marcinkus a call at 310-822-0643.

May 28, 2004: Memorial Day Match - We are having our regular IPSC match this Saturday 5/29. Please note that the following Saturday (6/5) is cancelled due to the Sports Fair. Also note that the 3 Gun Match is scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of June instead of 2nd to avoid conflict with the 3 Gun Series Match.

May 15, 2003: 3 Gun Comes to Norco - NRG is now having 3 Gun matches! For those of you itching to try your hand at this discipline, this is the perfect place to do so.

March 29, 2003: IDPA Match Results - I'm working on a way to make the layout for the IDPA results look similar to the current IPSC results. Right now they're just an Excel spreadsheet converted to HTML. Stay tuned and let us know what you think!

March 27, 2003: Match Schedule for April - Here's the schedule of matches for April:

April 5 - IPSC
April 12 - IPSC and IDPA Cancelled Due to "End of Trail"
April 19 - IPSC
April 26 - IPSC

January 7, 2003: IDPA Update - We've decided to postpone the first Norco IDPA match to February to be better prepared. When we have a definite date we'll be sure to update this page and send out an e-mail reminder.

December 17, 2002: Starting in January, Running Gun will also start hosting IDPA matches. Gordon Cameron and the great guys from Apple Valley will be assisting/RO'ing. We'll be running 5 stages of IDPA alongside our 6 IPSC stages. The IDPA match fee will probably be $20. Round count for the IDPA match should be less than 90 but bring an extra 50 or so just in case. IPSC'ers that would like to try their hand at IDPA can do so for an additional $10 while IDPA folks that would like to try running and gunning can join us for an extra $15.

If it's a success, IDPA will continue to be held every 2nd Saturday. Come on out and join us for 11 stages and 300 rounds of fun!

PS - For equipment and rules details, please head over to the IDPA Website. For questions about the match, please e-mail Jojo.

October 3, 2002: There will NOT be a match on the 19th of October due to most of the staff attending the Infinity Open in Las Vegas.

September 18, 2002: Added a new poll in the bulletin board area re: how competitors would like to see the match results laid out. Click here to help!

July 13, 2002: There will NOT be a match next weekend (July 20) due to Raahauge's having an event that requires the bermed area we normally use. If you need to get some hosing time in, Prado IPSC will be having their match on the Sunday after (July 21). Their matches typically consist of 5 stages including a classifier. I'm sure there will be more than a few Running Gunners there!

May 11, 2002: There will NOT be a match next weekend (May 18) due to Quail Unlimited needing our section of the range for their event. Luckily, Prado IPSC will be having a match on Sunday (May 19) for your weekly recommended allowance of hosing.

There also will NOT be a match on June 1 as most of the staff will be up to Reno for the 2002 Best of the Best match. Good luck Running Gunners!

April 13, 2002: There will NOT be a match next weekend (April 20) due to the End of Trail (aka Annual World Championship of Cowboy Action Shooting and Wild West Jubilee) taking place at Raahauge's from April 17 - April 21. If you don't also shoot SASS and need your IPSC fix, head on over to the Prado Olympic Shooting Park where our esteemed Match Director, Reggie, sets up a match every 3rd Sunday of the month.

March 27, 2002: Mike Voigt, USPSA President, has some dates open for two-day IPSC classes coming up. Below is an excerpt from El Prez...

I have some dates available for two-day classes.

6 May to 14 May 25 May to 5 June 10 June to 30 June (possible out of state commitment from 17-21 June)

As we discussed at the range there are several different USPSA classes available:

USPSA shooting - Equipment selection and evaluation, ammunition, recoil control, DRAW, speed reloading, prone shooting, what is necessary to see when shooting, difference between optics and iron sights, barricades, transitioning between targets, practice drills and more.

USPSA course management - Advanced shooting tips/tricks, breaking a course into manageable segments, swingers, shooting on the move, acquiring targets, awkward position shooting, body management and more.

USPSA Carbine and Shotgun - Shotgun - Choke selection, recoil control, stock modifications, barrel modifications... Carbine - Sight in ranges, carbine trajectory and wind deflection, shooting positions... Both Carbine and Shotgun - Sight selection, speed reloading, trigger control, ammunition selections

If you need more, let me know! Michael

I'm sure there are very few of us that are really happy with how we're shooting. If you're interested in learning from the reigning IPSC World Standard Champion, be sure to e-mail him for more info!
